ABOUT JÜRG WENGER
Jürg Wenger, from BSC Säuliamt, competed in international events between 1991 and 2003. He finished 13th at the 1991 Skeleton World Championships in Igls.
In January 1993, he finished sixth in a World Cup race in Oberhof, making it into the top ten for the first time. In 1994, he came seventh at the World Championships, and a year later he achieved his best result in a World Cup race with third place in Altenberg.
In the same year, 1995, he also celebrated his greatest success when he became World Champion in Lillehammer, ahead of the Austrian Christian Auer and the Canadian Ryan Davenport. His best overall World Cup rankings were sixth place in the 1992/93 and 1994/95 seasons. In 2000 and 2002, he finished third at the Swiss Championships.
